The 21 day Yoga & Pilates Challenge is designed for anyone that is either new to yoga, has some experience (maybe online or you’ve attended a few classes). Or if you are looking to find the inspiration to commit to a daily regime (as you know how good this wonderful practice makes you feel) – but you just need the inspiration…

You’re in good hands

A yoga challenge may feel a little scary if you’re not accustomed to doing yoga every day—so start out small! If you are in class and your body is telling you it doesn’t feel like practicing, the simple fact is you can relax back in savasana (final relaxing pose) and still enjoy the kudos attending a class. Simply by showing up on your mat, your body and mind will feel amazing.

Participating in a 21-day yoga challenge means committing to practicing yoga every day for 21 days straight. But it’s about more than just doing asanas (yoga poses) each day. A 21-day yoga challenge represents a personal commitment you make to yourself. It can often be easier to find time for work, family, and friends than to make time for ourselves. A 21-day yoga challenge offers you a structure for creating time each day to nurture yourself.

Each class will be available both online and offline and we have 21 classes per week that you can attend (with more 60+ classes that can be completed during the challenge!)

PRIZES FOR COMPLETING THE CHALLENGE

We have organised some wonderful prizes. The prizes will be awarded on attendance and there is a total of 63 classes that you can attend over the 21 days.

Prizes include:

1st Prize > Full Yoga kit from Yoga Suthra (full pack + Valued at over $300)

2nd Prize > Coloured yoga mat from Bodhi Yoga + 2x blocks ($150 value)

3rd Prize > Meal and coffee/tea for two at Keep it simple café (Valued at $65)

Prizes will be drawn on the final night after the Relax class on Sunday 16th May. You must be present at the prize draw to receive your prize. The prize draw will be at 6pm.

SETTING YOURSELF UP TO SUCCEED WITH A 21-DAY YOGA CHALLENGE

If the thought of beginning a 21-day yoga challenge perhaps feels a little overwhelming—don’t worry, there are many ways to set yourself up to succeed! Here are some ideas to overcome some of the obstacles that many of us come across when beginning a yoga challenge.

 

FIND A FRIEND

Many people find new activities more bearable when they start with a friend. Find a friend who is willing to join you for the challenge and you and your practice partner can encourage and inspire each other to turn up. It makes the accountability that much easier and you may even discover it was much easier than you think!

 

START WITH ACHIEVABLE GOALS

Don’t begin a challenge with unrealistic expectations! If you’ve never practiced yoga before, don’t expect to achieve the advanced poses during or even after the 21 days of yoga. On the other hand, if time is against you, don’t try to commit to more than one class per day, set yourself up to win and celebrate your accomplishments!

 

CELEBRATE YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS!

Throughout your 21 days you’ll notice may advances in your yoga practice, so be sure to give yourself the kudos you deserve for showing up and kicking some amazing goals. Acknowledge when you keep your daily practice promise, especially when you didn’t want to or when your timetable appeared overwhelming. Celebrating every accomplishment, small or large, will help to make your 21-day yoga challenge rewarding!

 

TRACK YOUR DAILY PRACTICE

To keep yourself motivated and inspired throughout  the 21 day yoga challenge we recommened keeping a journal. Handwritten is always best, but there are many apps out there now that can help you record the progress you’re making. Try to come to class a little earlier or take the time after the class to journal about your day or even just your practice. Record your wins, your struggles and the progressions you’ve made which will help to unravel some of the mysteries of who you are which will help you along this transformational journey.

 

REQUIREMENTS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR PRIZES AND RECEIVE CERTIFICATION OF YOUR 21 DAY CHALLENGE

Complete 21 classes (this is the minimum, but you can do more!)

– attend any class

– you can take 2-3 classes in one day to make up for any missed classes to hit the magic 21

– To be eligible for the prizes you will need to be in attendance at our final night (Sunday 9th May 2021) at 6pm for the prize draw.

– The person/s who attend the most classes during the 21 days will be the winner of the prizes.

– In the event there is more than one first place winner, the final winner be awarded to the person who has had the best changes overall through postural positioning (as determined by the event organiser Bodhi Yoga) and the person who finished in equal first place will be awarded second place.

– The same strategy will be used for a tied second place.

– In the event of a tied third place, additional Cafe meal vouchers will be awarded to additional third placed attendees.
