A Gong Sound Meditation is a deeply powerful experience. For some it can even be life-changing. As sound from the Gong penetrates through the whole body it impacts the brain waves, respiratory system and heart function.
A deep reverberating sound pulsates the body through resonance to help calm the mind, body and regulate the immune system.

In this event we are combining the healing powers of a restorative/yin (deep stretch) style of yoga with the vibrational sound energy of the gong. We will delve into basic and anyone-can-do yoga poses to help shift emotional energy from the hips, back and neck regions to help your body heal and release what’s not needed in our lives.
The yin yoga will provide an opportunity for meditation as well as the physical opening. Posture are held for longer periods and typically range between 2-5 mins, helping flexibility increase in the fascia and connective tissue (tendons and ligaments). With the aid of your breath and the sound vibration, your mind will calm, your muscles relax and your body will experience a deeper and lasting opening.
The class will focus on releasing tight, tension holding areas of the body; including the hips, shoulders, hamstrings, lower back and more. You’ll feel more supple and increase your mobility as we awaken and release.

Leith James from Gong Sound Meditation has over 12 years experience as a Sound Therapist with the British Academy of Sound. He currently spends time touring across Australia performing in yoga studios and festivals, and to date has helped 1,000s of people find inner peace and freedom, while specializing in Gong Sound Meditation training and corporate wellness resilience programs.

500hr Yoga Teacher and life student of the ancient practice. Now a yoga studio owner at Bodhi we help people improve their posture, relieve backache, sciatica, headaches, migraines, stress, anxiety and fatigue.
Through this ancient practice we help to soothe the central nervous system, improve concentration, memory, bring a sense of calm and balance whilst energising the internal revitalization of the system. Our focus is to build strong and healthy bodies and help students improve; mental health, mental clarity and combat depression.
