Bodhi Yoga Pronounced “Bow – Dee”
This ancient Sanskrit word translates into “enlightenment.”
The verbal root budh- means “awakening” and its meaning is closer to “awaken” or “to understand”, which means “to have woken up and understood.”
The famous Bodhi Tree where the spiritual teacher, Siddhartha Gautama, who became known as Buddha. Is said to have attained enlightenment or Bodhi.
People from around the world flock to Bodh Gaya, Bihar, India, to pay their respects to Lord Buddha.
Whilst Chris was on his first Yoga Teacher Training in India, the group that he spent an intense period with, often relaxed together in the local Bodhi Café. So when looking for a name with true meaning and links to Sanskrit, Chris both loved the word Bodhi and already had the connection to the name from his YTT.
So when it was available, I grabbed it with both hands!
Now the focus is centered around helping our students find there own awakening. To live a life of love and connection, but also to take care of themselves, so aches and pains need not be daily occurrence.
